Then it takes the number of backward links as shown in the Site Explore from Yahoo. Lastly, it includes traffic rankings from Alexa. These three measures, while not perfect, are spread wide and from three different organisations. Using this formula to correct for variations across the numbers you get a single coefficient that indicates credibility.
